I bet a lot of us do not clean our ovens on regular basis. I'm hardly surprised - they are one of the hardest things to keep clean in the kitchen. Sometimes I think, if only my oven wasn't tucked in the corner of my kitchen, somewhere below my kneecaps, sitting in darkness, coated in black, hidden behind a dark tinted glass door... then maybe, just maybe I would be willing to clean it more often. But let's be honest - why would I? Answer me this one question - have you ever seen an oven with a white inside? They make them black for a reason. Did you know the inside of your oven is made from glass fused to steel? You know what else is made from industrial porcelain enamel? Chemical reactors. Boom! Now we're cooking. Literally and figuratively!

TIME TO CLEAN IT

Now that we've cooked this beautiful intro and ate the entire paragraph in one go, we should clean up after ourselves and take care of the oven. We would like to present to you a couple of ways to really deal with this black box.

FINISHING TOUCHES

Most of us probably don’t think about scrubbing down our ovens until the smell of last month’s lasagna reminds us it’s overdue. And honestly, who can blame us? Between the awkward angle, the sticky racks, and that mysterious layer of grime that seems fused to the metal, cleaning an oven feels like a full-on workout. But here’s the good news. It doesn’t have to be such a dreaded task. With a few simple tricks straight from your pantry and laundry room, you can tackle even the toughest spots without breaking a sweat. From fizzing baking soda and vinegar combos for the inside and racks, to dish soap with dryer sheets for soaking away the stubborn stuff, to steaming with lemon water for a fresh finish—these methods make oven cleaning way less intimidating. And if you want to go the extra mile, a splash of vanilla can leave your whole kitchen smelling like a fancy dessert.
